She Who Rises Podcast
Episode 1: The Beginning of She Who Rises
Host: Beki Eakins
[00:00:00] – Introduction
Welcome to She Who Rises, the podcast for women who refuse to stay small. Here, we dive deep into the messy, the magical, and sometimes the maddening journey of rising into your full power. This is where soul meets strategy, where energy meets action, and where you are reminded every single week that you are stronger than you know, wiser than you think, and more powerful than you have ever been told.
[00:00:35] – The Purpose of She Who Rises
Welcome to the first episode of She Who Rises. I'm your host, Beki, and this podcast is for the women who feel there’s a spark inside that refuses to be dimmed. For those who have ever felt lost, disconnected, or silenced by life’s chaos, but who know deep down that they are meant for more—they are meant to shine.
I’ve met so many incredible people on my journey, especially in the last few years. I felt called to start collecting their wisdom and sharing it. Over the past year, I have been immersed in sisterhood like never before, working with and learning from the most wonderful collection of women. They’ve guided and inspired me, and I knew I couldn’t keep this to myself—I had to share it with the world.
[00:02:05] – Why Women Need Their Own Space
I’m not sure yet how this podcast will expand or where it will grow, but I know I’m called to do it. Women have been told to be quiet for too long. Our voices have often been pushed aside, and this podcast creates a space where we can share our struggles, our journey, and our strengths.
This isn’t about men not being important—I’ve had incredible support from the men in my life. But women face unique challenges, and we need a spotlight of our own. Historically, society has been tuned into masculine energy, leaving little room for our wild, untamed spirits. I want to change that. I want to create a community where every woman feels heard, supported, and free to rise.
[00:04:00] – My Journey: From Self-Doubt to Strength
Before I could rise, I had to wander in the dark for a long time. It wasn’t plain sailing. In my 20s and 30s, I was loud and chatty, but it felt like a radio stuck between stations. My words came out of chaos. I doubted myself—at work, in relationships, even with the simplest decisions.
I always assumed someone else knew better than me, and in doing so, I gave away my power. I believed I had no talent, no skills. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” Back then, I was happily giving my consent to anything that kept me small.
At work and at home, I shrank until I barely recognised myself. I blamed others for everything. I looked for excuses for why I couldn’t do something. I even enjoyed arguments because they distracted me from thinking too deeply about my own struggles.
[00:06:00] – The Turning Point: Divorce & Rebuilding
Then came the divorce—the end of a 13-year relationship. It wasn’t just a breakup; it was a full-scale reboot of my life. I wasn’t just walking out of a marriage; I was stepping away from every old habit and role that had boxed me in.
It took me years to make the decision to leave. The day I finally did, I was terrified. But I also knew it was the strongest and most empowered decision I had ever made.
I remember standing in the supermarket aisle, completely baffled. Who am I? I had no idea what to buy, because for years, my choices had been shaped by being a wife, a mother, a caregiver. Suddenly, I had days on my own, and I didn’t know what to do with them.
So, I decided to embrace the unknown. I lived in Airbnbs, travelled to Australia with my kids, and spent time with my sister. I had no home, but I used the time wisely. That terrifying moment of uncertainty was also the beginning of something brilliant.
[00:08:55] – Reconnecting with My Body & Feminine Energy
Bit by bit, I started rebuilding. I found an amazing tribe of fierce women who were doing the deep inner work. They weren’t just talking about mindset shifts—they were embodying them.
I realised that after years of coaching, counselling, and personal development, what I needed wasn’t more talking. I needed to feel. To move. To allow my body to guide me.
So, I started moving intuitively—no rules, no structured workouts, just wild, free movement. I danced—not to impress anyone, not fuelled by alcohol, but simply to be free. And as I moved, tears came. Energy shifted. I let go.
Then came breathwork. Six months of deep, connected breathwork, every single week. Each session peeled away another layer. Slowly, I started to hear my inner voice again.
[00:12:00] – Generational Healing & The Power of Sisterhood
During this time, I also fell in love with history. I became fascinated by generational wounds—the silent transmission of trauma from mother to daughter.
Women before us fought so hard to break free. They struggled to find their voices, to smash through expectations, and they rose. If they could do it, so can we.
Throughout history, women have gathered—in ancient red tents, rebellious witch covens, circles of mothers and daughters. Women thrive in sisterhood. We are not meant to rise alone.
I am here today because of the wild women who rose before me and those who stood beside me as I reclaimed my voice.
[00:16:30] – She Who Rises: What’s Next
This podcast is our sacred space—to share, to laugh, to cry, to grow. We have so much wisdom and strength within us, yet we are our own worst critics.
That is about to change.
Over the next few months, I’ll be bringing on incredible women guests to share their stories, wisdom, and gifts with you. This is part of the work we do in the Feminine Rise Collective—a programme designed by women, for women.
[00:17:00] – Call to Action: Join the Movement
If you feel a spark igniting inside you, this episode is for you.
When one woman rises, we all rise together.
Take a breath. Make some noise. Take up space.
Let's rise. Wild. Strong. Unstoppable.
